Church.

In a culture full of chaos, the church can be a hot topic or invoke a very emotional response from those in a conversation about the church. The church can be seen in so many different ways that it is hard to find a church to belong to. There are misconceptions or shadows that deepen or questions that linger of ‘ whats going to happen next…’ Finding a church home is even more difficult, especially when there is baggage from a previous church experience or maybe you are moving into a new area.

The Bible describes the church as a body of believers. We believe that also. Harvester Christian Church is made up of lots of different people and lots of different stories. If we are being honest, the people that make up the church are the ones that Jesus says, “are the sick.” Jesus didn’t mean literally sick, but in that conversation with some pharisees of the day, Jesus was drawing a distinction between those that think they are ok and those that think they are not. Jesus came for all people, but in that story, Jesus is saying that the ones that think there is no hope, that He can give them Hope.

Harvester Christian Church have 3 phrases that drive everything we do:

COME AS YOU ARE – really. Whether you are driving a Porsche or a beat up Scion xB like I do. Whether you a lot in your past or a little. Whether you smell like a clean shower or you had to sleep in your car. We want you to come as you are so that you can encounter Jesus for either the first time or the millionth time. We hope and pray that HCC  is that place for you to grow in your relationship with Jesus.

Mission – We exist to Lead People to Find and Follow Jesus. That is why we do what do. We plan programs, services, events, trips, and gatherings to prayerfully impact lives so that those lives can Find and Follow Jesus. Sunday morning experiences, small groups, Student and Kids Ministry and Outreach ministry all play a part in executing our mission.

Vision – To multiply Disciples in Relational Environments. This one is crucial to how we follow the Great Commission in Mathew 28 where Jesus commands us to go and tell all who will hear the Gospel and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We aim to create spaces and gatherings where churchgoers can grow together in an intentional community.
